The tour then carries on with the visit of some wineries like Ciacci Piccolomini, Castello Banfi, Poggio Antico and others according to specific booking. In each winery, you will receive the welcome of qualified people that will be able to explain in an excellent spoken English, the magic and charming world of the wine. Arrival at the medieval town centre of Montalcino for lunch time. This is a good opportunity to walk along the Fortress walls in order to admire the beautiful countryside and discover the ancient streets of the town, maybe having a rest in one of the wine shops. After lunch, along scenic routes running through The National Park
of Val d’Orcia, we will arrive at Montepulciano, a medieval town world-wide known as the home-town of Nobile di Montepulciano Wine. We will visit the underground of the city where it was built one of the most ancient wineries in Tuscany, Redi Winery, protected by underground caves of tuffs. When we will be in the city centre, we will walk along the medieval streets where we can admire people working copper with the traditional techniques, otherwise forgotten, to make handmade frames. The tour then carries on with the visit of other famous and ancient wineries for the production of Nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano like Avignonesi Winery, Il Poliziano Winery, Valdipiatta Winery and others on specific booking. In each winery, you will find the wine makers that will tell you in English the traditional methods of wine production. We will be back to your accommodation for dinner time.

Along scenic routes through the green hills of Siena countryside and the woods of Chianti Classico Wine territory, we will reach some famous medieval castles, that are still used to store and refine world-wide famous Italian wines thanks to their wide and cool wine cellars. The first castle we will visit is Castello di Brolio in Gaiole in Chianti, where, while tasting good wine, you will learn everything about Chianti Classico wine, under the experienced guide of wine makers that will answer your questions in an excellent spoken English. Then we will reach Castello di Volpaia, an ancient and charming town on the hills surrounding the village of Radda in Chianti, where after wine tasting, we will have a
rest and a traditional lunch in one of the typical eating houses of Tuscany. Then the tour carries on along routes with breathtaking views to reach Castello d’ Albola.In this castle too, you will receive the welcome of the wine makers and you will follow a guided tour of the structure and a lesson of wine tasting. For people that love eating meat, we will carry on with the last step of our tour in Greve in Chianti, where after admiring the typical oval square, we will discover the ancient Salumeria Falorni famous for the production and selling of typical cold meat of Tuscany and Chianina meat, the world-wide known “Fiorentina steak”. We will be back to your accommodation for dinner time.
As we described, we suggest two Wine Tour variations selected according to terroirs and grape varieties traditionally used to make these famous wines. Obviously, travelling by car or coach through the sweet countryside of the wineries of Tuscany, is a great opportunity to admire the enchanted medieval towns, where it seems to be in a timeless atmosphere. We will be at your complete disposal to follow different tours according to your specific requests. Moreover, as you may have noticed, we prefer not to quote the tours because our best customized quotation depends on the departure and arrival point of the tour (your accommodation in villa, hotel, farmhouse).
