Seven days in Tuscany


1st Day: Florence
Departure from your location (villa, hotel, farmhouse) or transfer from your arrival airport to reach Florence. Florence is the capital of Renaissance and Italian arts. Thanks to its artistic treasures, Florence is one of the cities that tourists love best. In the chief city of Tuscany, we will visit all the places that made Florence so famous and beloved in the world. We will visit the city centre and its famous monuments like Piazza della Signoria and Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore. We will be back to your accommodation for dinner time.

2nd Day: Florence
Our tour programme suggests you a free day to spend as you prefer. We recommend to visit one of the most important museums in the world: Galleria degli Uffizi where you can admire the widest collections of Renaissance paintings by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Caravaggio and Raffaello. We recommend to go shopping too, above all in the streets of fashion like Via De’ Calzaiuoli and Via De’ Tornabuoni. In that case, after having been your guide among the shops of the city centre, the driver will be at you disposal, to reach The Mall as well, the fashion outlet nearby Florence. We will be back to your accommodation for dinner time.

3rd Day: Pisa and Lucca
Departure from your location (villa, hotel, farmhouse) to reach the art city of Pisa, famous for its Leaning Tower and its charming Piazza dei Miracoli. After the lunch in one of the traditional restaurants, we will leave Pisa to reach the city of Lucca, famous for its beautiful city walls (built during XV-XVII centuries), that protected its treasure over centuries. There we can perfectly admire the elegant and charming city centre whose symbol is Piazza Ovale. Then, after some spear time for a relaxing walk and some shopping, we will leave to be back to your accommodation for dinner time.

4th Day: Chianti Territory
Departure after breakfast from your location (villa, hotel, farmhouse) to visit the charming castle of Brolio in Gaiole of Chianti: here, after visiting the castle, we will taste the finest wine Chianti Classico. . The tour then carries on to Radda in Chianti to visit the Castle of Volpaia, where you have the possibility to have your lunch tasting the best food of local tradition. Then, following the scenic routes, surrounded by the vineyards, during the afternoon we will reach the small town of Greve in Chianti, where we will visit the best butcher’s in all Tuscany tasting their home made cold meat. We will be back to your accommodation for dinner time.

5th Day: Siena – Monteriggioni – San Gimignano
Departure after breakfast from your location (villa, hotel, farmhouse) to visit Siena, the city of Palio. In Siena we will have lunch in the beautiful Piazza del Campo, theatre of Palio and one of the most beloved squares in the world. After visiting the beauties of the city, you will walk along the streets of the city centres, rich of famous shops. Then the tour carries on with the visit of Monteriggioni Castle, the last fortress of Siena during medieval times, as the Poet Dante Alighieri wrote in some lines of the Comedy. We will arrive then in San Gimignano, the medieval town famous for its towers, and home-town of the excellent white wine D.O.C.G "Vernaccia di San Gimignano" that you will absolutely taste. We will be back to your accommodation for dinner time.

6th Day: Montalcino - Bagno Vignoni - Pienza
Departure after breakfast from your location (villa, hotel, farmhouse) to reach Montalcino where we will visit Abbazia di Sant’Antimo, one of the most ancient abbeys in Italy. We will arrive then in the city centre of Montalcino, home-town of "Brunello", where after visiting its beauties, you will have lunch in one of the restaurants with amazing view on Val d’Orcia. Otherwise you can ask to have lunch at Castello Banfi/Fattoria dei Barbi where you will taste the products of the wineries. We will discover then the small medieval town of Bagno Vignoni where we will admire the ancient roman baths still pouring hot water. Following the scenic routes of the countryside, we will arrive to Pienza, a renaissance town where, after visiting the papal buildings, you will taste the delicious sheep cheese Pecorino di Pienza. We will be back to your accommodation for dinner time.

7th Day: Montepulciano - Cortona
Departure after breakfast from your location (villa, hotel, farmhouse) to reach Montepulciano, home-town of Vino Nobile, where we will visit one of the first wineries of the world, "Cantina Redi". The visit goes on in the city centre where you will discover ancient workrooms where artisans work copper and some of the best wine shops. For lunch it will be possible to taste the products of the territory in the city centre of Montepulciano or at the restaurant of the famous Avignonesi winery. We will discover then the beautiful city of Cortona. The city has a millenary history as we know from the Etruscan city walls surrounding it, from the medieval streets with breathtaking views on Valdichiana and Trasimeno lake and from its museum Accademia Etrusca, one of the most important in the world. The atmosphere and the beauty of this timeless town make Cortona one of the jewels in Tuscany. Departure to be back to your accommodation in Rome or Florence before dinner time. Then we can organise your transfer from there to the airport for the morning after.
