Orvieto - Todi
Departure after breakfast from your accommodation (villa, hotel or farmhouse) to enjoy a day dedicated to nature and history. We will reach Orvieto, a town that will amaze you for the unique balance between nature and human wit. We will go to the top of the city to visit Piazza Duomo and the gothic cathedral, which gives an extraordinary skyline to the city. Then, walking through the streets of the city centre, you will discover buildings made of tuffs (a tradition already during Etruscan times) and you will arrive to
Pozzo di San Patrizio, a masterpiece of architecture. After the lunch in one of the traditional restaurants, we will reach Todi, the town where the famous medieval poet Jacopone da Todi was born. Walking through the town, you will admire monuments like Santa Maria della Consolazione Church, Palazzo del Popolo and the square. You will enjoy then a great view on the landscape of Umbria. We will be back to your accommodation for dinner time.
